Last week I shared an intro to creating backgrounds using a Gelli Printing Plate. This week we add another step to the process and and use some masks.
Workflow Wednesday: My Favorite Photo Album and Why
It's hard to believe we're nearing the end of this workflow series. I've shared so much information yet, I feel like I haven't even started. As we close out the series, I'm going to share some more of my favorite tools and why I choose them.
I'm also going to be sharing in the next few weeks, some photography tips and tutorials, as well as how to save for web and upload to galleries. The end of November, I will be sharing how I prepare for Ali Edward's December Daily.

Workflow Wednesday: Welding Fonts Tutorial in Silhouette Software
One of my favorite parts of the Silhouette Software is being able to use the fonts you have installed in your computer to cut words or stencils. It's so fun and super easy and I think you're going to have a blast once you've learned this easy trick.
Also, be sure to read all the way through, there might be a sweet giveaway at the bottom that you don't want to miss! I've been loving doing these tutorials with you on how I use my Silhouette Portrait in my pocket pages. I asked Silhouette America if we could do a giveaway of my favorite materials and they were excited to do it! I am too!!!

September 2014 - Week 36 in my weekly pocket scrapbook album
I'm excited to share with you a few things today in addition to my scrapbook page! My weekly pocket scrapbook page is using all scraps from my organizational containers and my mixed media supplies and collaging. It was so fun to get messy, tho, I still kinda miss the ease of digital/hybrid scrapbooking. I need to do this more often, just to play and not hoard all my supplies.
Like I said on Friday, I added some more layering/collaging to my title card, to add in the orange touches to the predominately pink and aqua color scheme. I also added lots of doodling like usual.
They have two really awesome deals going on that are so perfect for your pocket scrapbooking. I will have a tutorial coming on Wednesday using the Silhouette Adhesive Cardstock. (must use code ADHESIVE at checkout for discount to apply)
Also, they have a great deal going on for the Silhouette Portrait, and I'm excited to be sharing with you a mixed media tutorial using the sewable fabric interfacing in the works! I may be a little giddy about this tutorial! I think you'll love it too and can't wait to share it with you!

The second thing I wanted to share with you is that I've been invited to join the Silhouette Circle Affiliate Program and already have tons of tutorials coming on Workflow Wednesdays using my Silhouette Portrait cutting machine. I can't wait to share these awesome tutorials with you and to also share my love for my Silhouette Portrait. Like I said last Wednesday, I love that the Silhouette Portrait does everything the Silhouette CAMEO does, only in a much smaller size. Since I use the print and cut feature practically every week and I work in pocket sized pages, I've found that I didn't need the larger format. They have two really awesome deals going on that are so perfect for your pocket scrapbooking. Workflow Wednesday: Additional Essential Tools For Pocket Scrapbooking
This month and throughout this workflow series, I've been sharing many of my favorite tools for pocket scrapbooking. Today I'll be focusing on the most essential tools for my workflow.
Fiskars SureCut Paper Trimmer: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wire guide so you can line up and see exactly where you are cutting. It makes cutting out the hybrid journal cards soooo easy and I've never had a problem with it!
Scotch ATG Advanced Tape Glider: This thing is THE BEST!!! I've tried sooo many tape runners and they all gum up or have issues or the adhesive isn't sticky enough (especially for paper projects, not really an issue for pocket scrapbooking). The adhesive in these hold super strong and it glides so nicely! I just adore it to pieces! A definitely must have for any paper crafter! It's HUGE as you can see, LOL!
Tombow Dot Adhesive Stamp Runner: This is my fave for intricate objects like wood veneer and intricate die cuts. Instead of a line of tape, it's tiny little dots which stick to the element and isn't sticking out like line tape does. I really love the shape of this one too. I haven't had any problems with gumming or getting stuck like I've had with other dot adhesive runners I've tried.
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tiny Attacher: I just LOVE this thing, it goes everywhere with me and the tiny little staples are so cute! My most favorite stapler! Isn't it adorable?! I love everything about it. I love the size and the grip and I've never had any problems with it! It's another MUST-HAVE for any paper crafter!
WORKFLOW ESSENTIALS SO FAR
- Adobe Lightroom: photo editing and printing
- Adobe Photoshop (full version or Photoshop Elements): for hybrid pocket scrapbooking

August 2014 - Week 33 in my weekly pocket scrapbook album
I am so excited to share my weekly pocket scrapbook page with you! This was the week we were in Nashville, so I have lots of photos!
It's crazy, I brought my big girl camera and never used it. All my photos for the week ended up being on my iphone or Mark's android. How crazy is that? Well, not so crazy when I think of how convenient it is not to lug the big camera all around Nashville with three kids who didn't want to spend all week in our hotel room. I'm still exhausted and we've been home for a week now!

Here's a pocket scrapbook page using the kit and some of the add-ons! I seriously had a BLAST putting this together! I think it was totally designed with me in mind, LOL! No seriously, they just made my mixed media pocket style scrapbooking super easy!Art Journal Pocket Scrapbook Style: Dude, That's Crabby! AND a Sweepstakes for Sweet Stamp Shop stamp sets!
Do you ever have just really crabby weeks or days? I have a fun little journal card to share with you!
I am finishing up my guest design time at Sweet Stamp Shop and I must say, I'm rather sad. It went by so fast and I learned so much and made some lifetime friends who encouraged and inspired each other. I've grown so much in my photography for the blog and also fell back in LOVE with stamping and card making.

August 2014 - Week 31 in my weekly pocket scrapbook album
I can't believe how fast this year is going!!! How is it that it's August already and been SIX months since I've revived this blog and kept at it? That is, other than the week I took off when I hurt my back and for a little R&R.
When I started working on the blog I had no clue what I wanted to focus on or what my niche was going to be. I wanted a way to combine my love for mixed media arts and the pocket style scrapbooking that I love so much. I'm still blown away at how much I've learned and how much the blog has grown.
I'm also so very thrilled and honored to have so many cheerleaders and have become friends with other bloggers and creative artists. This community is seriously soooo amazing and so generous and I can't wait to see where we're headed in the next six months and in six years. Thank you so much for all your feedback and inspiration. Without YOU, I wouldn't be doing this whole blogging thing!
As a thank you, I'm working on a little freebie! I think we're past due on that, wouldn't you agree? I've been on vacation and out of town again last week, so I will get it up as soon as I can! I also have some other stuff I'm working on that I hope you guys are gonna like... maybe a little collab with the fabulous Rubia of Studio Basics? I think we're past due on that too!
Now that that's been said, here's my pocket page for week 31! It's kinda clean and simple, but that's what happens when you try to get things in order before heading out of town. I still like it a lot and Renne of ForeverJoy made it really easy to do! Isn't that watercolor flower gorgeous? I LOVE and just HAD to use it!

WEEK 31
July 2014 - Week 30 in my weekly pocket scrapbook album
I just love Jaimee's Storyteller Collections! They are just so HUGE and awesome and if you're a newsletter subscriber you get a really special price that is unbeatable for how much you get in it! She has smaller bundles too, but I always grab the whole collection because I want to use it all.
