Welcome back to another weekly Naptime Diaries Advent devotional update with myself, Shanna Noel and Stephanie Ackerman. Yet again, I feel like they're talking directly to me! It's been so refreshing and deep and really made me think about a lot of stuff. I can't wait to share with you, so let's get started!

DAY ELEVEN: I don't remember where I heard the phrase, "Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle" and this devotional totally brought it to mind. Beginnings are messy, very messy and such a beautiful reminder that God's love story started out pretty messy. Thank you Jesus!

Advent Mixed Media Art Worship Journal | Days 4 - 10

This Naptime Diaries Advent Devotional is SO GOOD! It's really had me think a lot. It's like they are talking just to me and nobody else. Do you ever feel that way? This is exactly why I'm very thankful that I'm putting the calendar cards in a mini art journal album. It will be so good to look at it over and over again to fix my eyes on Jesus.

I'm excited to share my advent art journal with you as well as some thoughts from the devotional. Be sure to also check out Shanna Noel's and Stephanie Ackerman's blog today too, as they update us on their time in the devotional.

DAY FOUR: oh gosh, seriously all I could think of was this past year and all that's happened since last January. I totally feel like the tine, scared, unknown, and weak girl that God is using. He's definitely proved to me that he's been with me all along this road, rocky and smooth. Thank you Jesus for loving me so much and making me take leaps of faith this year!

Advent Mixed Media Art Worship Journal | Days 1 - 3

I am having a blast checking out everyone's Naptime Diaries Advent projects. I chose to make a little mixed media art journal mini album and am embedding the calendar cards into my pages. I'm not worried about the art though it's my "me" time in my crazy days. My goal is to spend more time really soaking in my notes and the devotional from the day.

I am totally LOVING the devotionals, so let me show you what I've been taking from the devotionals and putting onto my pages.

DAY ONE - goodness, I totally needed that reminder that HE came to turn my tired and weary and stressed, into REDEEMED and VICTORIOUS! I seriously need to wake up to this reminder every day. Oh, by the way, I'm decorating and writing in my devotional too, FUN!

Workflow Wednesday: December 2014 Album, Day One and a Tutorial

Every day I'm spending a little bit of time going through the photos from the day before and picking one or two photos to use in my December Album. The rest of the photos will go in my regular Project Life album.

The templates I'm using have a plain white background, so I needed an easy way to figure out where to trim without having to do any math. So, I've put together a quick tutorial in addition to sharing my pages.

Art Worship: Let's Do ADVENT Together!

As many of us are getting ready for December activities and projects, I wanted to share with you that I'll be doing some things differently this year. Normally, we take the month off from homeschooling and we spend time reflecting on the meaning of Christmas with the kids. The problem was that I never did any reflecting of my own. I was missing my own personal time with Jesus.

I was chatting with Shanna Noel asking her thoughts about "Art Worship Through Advent", and she asked me if I wanted to join her in doing the Naptime Diaries Advent Calendar and Devotional. I didn't even have to think about it and immediately said, "YES"! Stephanie Ackerman will also be joining us and I'm thrilled!
