Mixed Media Creative Planning | August 2015 - Full Month

I'm having a blast being creative in my planner. I'm loving this system of stamping stickers and collecting stickers to use from my favorite sticker girl, Cori of The Reset Girl. I'm also attending the Daydream Event this month and got a goody envelope of some stickers and was so excited to use them this month to mark the dates for the event.

Mixed Media Creative Planning | August 2015 - Week 1

First, let me start off by saying... I've been waiting FOREVER to start this planner! It's a 17 month planner and it didn't start until August... I'm so in love with the 2015-2016 ban.do Florabunda Spiral Large Planner and plan on using it as our family planner. This means I will include some memories in it. One of these days I'll walk you through it and show you what I love about this planner.

Mixed Media Tutorial: Pattern Stamps With Foam Stickers

Hey there, I'm so excited to be back to a regular schedule again after last week, that means a new mixed media tutorial today. Last week, with the grand opening of my Etsy shop and then working on a HUGE (literally) project at my church, and the kids all being sick with the sniffles, I just couldn't keep up with the blog. I'm hoping to be back to a regular schedule again this week.

I don't know about you, but I LOVE pattern. I have a closet full of fabric and a huge stack of pattern paper. I just love seeing the repeated pattern and I'm finding that I really like repeated pattern in my art journals too. While I was picking up a few things at Michaels this weekend, I picked up a container of foam stickers and instantly saw some fun stamp making materials for creating some fun patterns.

#ARTWORSHIP Illustrated Faith Art Journaling Bible: John 1-3

Hey art worshipers, I am so happy to be back to do art in my Bible again. I started doing the She Reads Truth studies again and have been going through the current series in John. I'm totally in love with the series.

Art Worship Art Journaling Bible | John 1 | She Reads Truth | Illustrated Faith

I read through it first thing in the morning. I find that if I don't wake up with Jesus, I don't feel like myself during the day. It's made me realize how much I need my Savior daily and the first thing in my day.

Art Worship Art Journaling Bible | John 2 | She Reads Truth | Illustrated Faith

I will underline and highlight key verses and jot down any notes I want to remember for later in the day when I have time to do a little art worship. I am having a great time art worshiping in my Bible.

OK, so let me walk you through my process for these pages...

Do You Ever Doubt Your Art?

Do you ever doubt your creativity or your artwork? Do you get so insecure that you're afraid to even put the pen down on the paper, for fear you'll make a mistake? If so, then read on.

#ARTWORSHIP an art journaling response to Jesus | Truth Scrap 2015

Most artists and craftspeople – even “professional” ones – have periods of self-doubt, so don't feel like you are alone! But what gets me through the dry times is the fact that I know I was made to create. God put the passion to create in me, and I know when I am making things, I'm expressing his love for me. When I am secure in his love, I am secure in my art.

Truth Scrap: Celebrating the Intersection of Faith and Art | Art Worship with Me

I can't tell you how hard it has been for me to not spill the beans! I'm so thrilled and honored and beyond excited about this one day event called Truth Scrap.

I so totally need a retreat after the new year to just refocus and fix my eyes on Jesus with hundreds of ladies. The bonus is we get to do it in our own homes and even in our pajamas if we want. This introvert is super happy about that part, lol.

Disney World's Epcot Honeymoon - Pocket Style Scrapbook Page

I was so thrilled and honored to have been asked by The Pocket Source to create and write a review of the newest collection from Elle's Studio. When I received the box, I was expecting just some cards and tags and labels from their regular monthly kits. I was totally not expecting to get a whole collection from them.

Mixed Media Tutorial: Stamping With Mists

I had received some new stamps earlier this week and wanted to play a little. Since I've been stamping for a couple decades now, I've finally gotten the courage to not be so perfect or to not be upset about imperfect impressions. This is a huge step for me and it also means that I'm having more fun experimenting and playing with stamps again.

Mixed Media Tutorial: 4"x6" pocket collage art

I've been enjoying a lot of art time and wanted to share with you my favorite style of art today. I love collage art! I love to layer pattern papers and then paint over them and doodle and stamp and just add more and more layers until I'm actually finished.
