Mixed Media Creative Planning | August 2015 - Week 1
First, let me start off by saying... I've been waiting FOREVER to start this planner! It's a 17 month planner and it didn't start until August... I'm so in love with the 2015-2016 ban.do Florabunda Spiral Large Planner and plan on using it as our family planner. This means I will include some memories in it. One of these days I'll walk you through it and show you what I love about this planner.
Mixed Media Tutorial: Turning Blobs Into 2 Easy Doodled Flowers Styles
Last week I shared a fun and easy tutorial painting circles on your Gelli Plate. There were some pretty cool "blobs" on my cards and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
I knew that I wanted to turn those blobs into flowers. I'm totally not a drawer in my art, but this was so easy. If I can do it, so can you.

Bible Art Worship Tutorial: cutting up Project Life® cards and making your alphabet stickers stick
I've been dealing with some really bad eczema recently and having issues with painting. This week I decided to cut up some of my Project Life® cards. I used a couple cards from Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste mini kit.
October 2014 - Weeks 42 and 43 in my pocket scrapbook album
Happy Halloween and Happy {international}Digital Scrapbook Day Weekend!!!
I'm excited to share something new at The Lilypad this weekend! They now have a monthly pocket scrapbooking subscription! The mixed media monthly was such a hit that it only seemed perfect to add in the other part of what makes The Lilypad so awesome and diverse, it's pocket scrapbookers!
September 2014 - Week 37 in my weekly pocket scrapbook album
So, this is what happens when you travel a lot and start a new homeschool year, you get "behind". Here's the cool thing... I have lots of pre-made cards from tutorials and from other projects or scrapbooking retreats and it has made catching up so easy and fast. I just grab a bunch of cards from my color coordinated organization boxes, add the photos and do my journaling and doodling. Easy Peasy and super fast way to catch up.
Also, I was busy enjoying my Birthday weekend with my family and didn't have a chance to take photos and post, so I'm running late with today's post, but excited to share it with you! The kit I used for this page was quickly sold out at Studio Calico, but a sweet friend sold it to me since he wasn't going to use it. I'm totally in LOVE with the cards and goodies in the kit and now I know exactly why it sold out so fast!

Disney World's Epcot Honeymoon - Pocket Style Scrapbook Page
I was so thrilled and honored to have been asked by The Pocket Source to create and write a review of the newest collection from Elle's Studio. When I received the box, I was expecting just some cards and tags and labels from their regular monthly kits. I was totally not expecting to get a whole collection from them.
Workflow Wednesday: Silhouette Tutorial - Using Sketch Pens On Your Pocket Scrapbook Pages
You all know how much I love to doodle on my pages and journal cards. Today I'm going to show you how to make your Silhouette do the doodling for you! This is so much fun to do and I've become addicted to using sketch pens now and purchasing sketch files from the Silhouette Online Store. There are so many fun designs in there. You can also turn your regular cut files into doodles too and I'm going to share that with you too.
Stash Bash Tip: Sticker Edition and Week 39 Documented Life Project
I am loving being back in my planner again and doing the weekly prompts that I've been getting from The Documented Life Project. This week the prompt was: splatters and drips! YUM!!! I love to splatter and drip paints and inks.
Art Journal Bible Tutorial - Deli Paper Background
What's deli paper and what do you use it for? I've been asked that question several times, so I'm going to be doing a little series on Thursdays, along with my regularly scheduled Art Journal Bible Tutorials, all about deli paper. There is so much you can do with it and I can't wait to share several ideas with you!
Documented Life Project - Week 37 - doodling with white pen
I've kinda fallen in LOVE with this creation. It's funny that I love it so much because I used to hate using hearts in my craft and art projects. Now, I see hearts in nature and I just can't resist using them! The prompt for the week was to use white pens. I went crazy and had tons of fun while listening to the worship team rehearse and waiting for my kids who were at AWANAS. I think I've become a white pen addict!
The main heart on the bottom is a leaf I found in the parking lot last Monday after leaving ballet rehearsal. Later in the week God gave me these words to say and I knew I had to write it down in the journal, "If you focus on only the art, you will miss his HEart!"
Those words have become my new motto when doing my #artworship in my Bible. I don't ever want to get to a place that I'm just focusing on the art and only thinking of myself. I want to be sure I truly am spending time with HIM and focusing on HIM and letting the HOLY SPIRIT move in me to create. I love how God does that, put words in my mouth.
I used my favorite white journaling pens and a Sharpie Poster Paint Pen for all the doodling.
