I wanted to catch up on some projects this weekend. Sometimes we just have to go really simple when we have so much going on and find ourselves falling behind. I definitely went super simple with this one and it totally didn't turn out how I pictured it.
The art prompt for The Documented Life Project for Week Three was: color wheel. The journaling prompt was a Georgia O'Keefe quote but the rainbow reminded me of God's promise to Noah and it was so perfect for all my nervousness about Truth Scrap, my very first LIVE event.
I wanted to do some fun rainbow drips for this week, but ended up watering the paint down too much. I'm OK with that though as my journals are just where I experiment and play and I don't worry about making great works of art every week. I will probably go back and add more to this, but for now it will do.
Last night, I decided to play a little bit more with this page. I added in some white paint and some more black textures. I also played a little with some stencils and didn't like them, so they got covered up with some more white paint. Sometimes, I think we just need to walk away for longer than a couple days and come back later. I think I'll do that with this page.
