Art Worship: Jesus, Be The Centre Art Journal Page

So, on Saturday I was looking through one of my unfinished journals and I had this heart shaped target page that was only half done. Well, actually it wasn't gesso'd and it was just something I had outlined out and had in my head last year.

So, I covered it up in gesso and decided to re-do/finish it. It didn't feel finished yet though. The meaning behind it was that I wanted Jesus to be the center. Funny thing was that it was one of our worship songs on Sunday and I knew exactly how to finish it.

Even funnier was that I totally forgot why I had asked our Worship Pastor for the worship song sheets or even which song it was. This is totally why I carry my planner everywhere with me... tho, it's hard to stop singing and worshiping when that thought bubble pops in my head and I really should write it down before I forget.

I just stamped Jesus in the center of the heart and cut the title from the chord chart, glued it on and then doodled all over it. Then I used a small blending tool and ink to grunge it up a bit... I felt the red was a bit too stark. This is my constant prayer and I'm so excited to have an art journal page to remind me. I'm also so thankful that God led me to finish it.
