I'm excited to share with you a super quick tutorial on how to save your paint! I don't like to waste anything so I am diligent about saving and using as much as I can before cleaning off my mat, palette or brushes.
Yesterday, I showed you how I don't clean off my craft mat when I'm done. You also saw that it made for some cool paint flecks in the gesso layer.
So, before the gesso is dry on the mat, I grab a sheet of deli paper and put it down on top of the wet gesso.
I take my brayer and roll it over the deli paper several times. I then pull it up and check out the yummy old paint layers that come up off the craft mat.
Look at the metallic gold paint over the orange and red layers!!! YUM!!!
I'll then do it again and again until I've picked up as much of the paint as I can. Isn't it glorious?!

This came from a project I'm going to show you tomorrow! I'm so in LOVE!!!
and these came from working in my Journaling Bible...
and check this out!!! If you look closely at the photo above you can see that I cut out a piece of the pink heart deli paper. I used gel medium and pasted it over the top of a Sunshine Project Life® card. Isn't it awesome?! I love how it turned out and can see doing this a ton more!
