It's my favorite scrapbooking day of the year! I love seeing how active the forums and blogs get over the weekend. I love seeing all my friends celebrating and participating in the challenges and contests.
Today, I'm missing out on all the scrapbooking fun, but I'm at a conference that I really felt God telling me to attend. He literally woke me up in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago and told me to look for blog conferences in the Chicagoland area.
I immediately found one for Christian Homeschooling Moms (2:1 Conference) and pieces just fell into place as I had my small group pray about it and I got news that My Father's World wasn't going to be at ICHE this year.
I also met someone local who is a scrapbooker and is attending the conference too. I think we've even been on Fiddle-Dee-Dee's team together a few years ago. Isn't that crazy? SMALL WORLD!!!
Another small world story about the conference, I'm hanging out with Karah Fredricks' (one of The Lilypad designers) mom, how crazy is that?!?!?! Out of about 100 attendies and a blog conference for Christian homeschooling moms, I never imagined a connection to my scrapbook world, let alone two connections.
I had planned on putting together a freebie for you as my small little part of the celebrations. I fell in love with this moodboard and I had a blast creating them and I hope you're having a blast with all the great sales and freebies and festivities going on.
I'm hosting the BYOC color palette contest again at The Lilypad and I hope you'll take the time to submit some color mood boards. This is seriously my most favorite contest of the weekend. I love seeing all the different color palettes coming in and voting for our faves. They always end up being one of my favorite BYOCs.
Also, my friend Aaron Morris, had used the same inspiration/moodboard to create some freebie journal cards too. You can find them on his blog, The Morris Files.
