April 2014 - Week 16 in my scrapbook album

We just got back from a little trip to Indy to see some friends and family. It's been such a crazy whirlwind of a week. It seems like I blinked and it's a new week again. Because we went out of town, I didn't have as much time to work on my page as much as I normally like to. I did do a little bit of mixed media messy fun though. Do you recognize the top left card from last week? I'm seriously in LOVE with that card and how it turned out.

I made a mistake and bought the wrong paper for printing. I bought bright white printer paper instead of bright white cardstock. I'll have to make a quick purchase to get the right stuff for this week, lol. I still was impressed at how nicely it printed out, just was super thin so I didn't feel comfortable doing any kind of mixed media work on them. Good thing Sara already did the digital painting on them.

EASTER INSERT

We went to our friends' house for Easter lunch and had a blast like always. We took family pictures and afterwards the kids played with water guns while the adults played with the cameras. It was such a sweet time of fellowship with them. We really need to get together with them more often.

I had the perfect number of photos for a full page plus an insert. I could have squeezed it all on one page but I like having Easter Sunday separate from the week. On the back, I'm sure I'll have plenty of photos to fill it and another page with all we did last week.
