April 2014 - Page 2 (Week 15) - Everyday Scrapbook Album

I know I say this every week, but I really LOVE how this scrapbook page came out. The digital/hybrid kit I used was primarily pinks and oranges and thanks to my new scrapbook organization, I was able to add some additional color to it and use up some of my ever growing stash. 

I've had this bike sticker from October Afternoon for a long time and I was finally excited to have a purpose for it. I finally found and bought a bike so we can go on family bike rides, WOOT! That sticker is why I decided to add the blues to the page. I pulled out my blue and orange containers and pulled out all the embellishments that I thought were a close match to the blue on the bike. This totally brought me back to my paper days and my love for traditional scrapbooking.

Do you recognize that "happy place" card from my mixed media stamping with Gelatos tutorial? It was a perfect edition to my page. I added a label and a die cut, some doodling and mist splatters. I really love how it turned out.

I honestly still can't believe how quickly this page came together. I would have never found that "Don't Tell Anyone" sticker if I hadn't organized my stickers and embellishments by color. The sticker was too perfect but I was previously too lazy to sort through the bigger bin where I just threw everything in before. It was literally like I had a whole new stash of new embellishments. I had supplies in there that I would never remember I had, other than that bike sticker I had been waiting to use. This new system is going to really help me to use up what I have before I go on more spending trips. I'm so very excited and happy to be using all these scrapbook supplies!
