December Daily 2013 - Manifesto

Hey look at me using paper goods from my ever growing stash LOL... I laugh, but the truth is, it's insane... I can't help myself, I want so badly to do paper and I LOVE touching and playing in the stores... and buying too LOL... but my heart always gravitates back to digital and hybrid... I feel totally "stuck" when I try to scrap with paper goods... I think it's because once it's cut, it's cut and there's no going back or changing my mind... if I don't like it, I can't just dump it in the recycle bin and start over again... well, I suppose I could... but I don't think hubby would be too happy seeing that $$ going into the trash... I need to admit that I'm way too much a perfectionist and need to loosen up... maybe that should be my OLW (one little word) for 2014, hmmmm....

This is a photo I took of one of the gorgeous trees at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel when we were in Nashville... even though it wasn't technically in December, I'm still including many of the photos in my album, filling in spots where I'm just journaling and don't have activities or photos from that day... and with all the gold elements I thought this gold snowflake was just perfect...

My manifesto is just like every year, to celebrate and observe Advent and prepare our hearts for the Christmas celebration, focusing on the fact that Christ came down from his throne to become a baby, knowing that he was going to die on a cross... still to this day brings me to such awe, thinking about all he did for me...
