It's hard to believe that I revived this blog two years ago, and now I'm going to be reviving it again. 2015 was a busy year and it meant taking a break from blogging regularly. I've missed it a ton and I'm excited to jump back in now that things have slowed down. I thought I would share with you a bit of an update and what I've been up to and then what's the plans going forward. I will be giving myself a lot of grace though as I'm still recovering from the toll last year took on me.
Last year, I was asked to contribute to a book on mixed media techniques. I of course said YES YES YES! This is my heart, to teach mixed media techniques, so I knew I had to do it. It meant saying goodbye to all my scrapbooking and creative team commitments. After several months of creating and writing and then waiting, it's finally published and available and I'm so blessed to add "published author" to my title now. I still pinch myself that I was asked to be a part of it.
The only creative team I did not step down from was Illustrated Faith. I just couldn't, it was where my heart was and it was a major part of me. God has blessed Shanna and I with an amazing relationship that was more than just a friendship. In March last year, God made it very clear to me that He has prepared me to partner with Shanna and take over the Illustrated Faith blog and lead the creative team so that she can do what God prepared for her to do. It's been an exciting journey God has taken us on and I'm so honored and thrilled to be a small part of Illustrated Faith's ministry. I love the creative team and I love working on the blog behind the scenes.
After the book was complete, I chose not to pick up any new creative teams for awhile. Homeschooling has been much more time consuming and difficult and I felt like I never had any time to take care of myself. I've learned the hard way last year the importance of self care. My body literally crashed and short circuited and I've been working on learning to take time for myself... my family and friends deserved better, and so did I. I was a hot mess and through clean eating, exercise, essential oils and finding the right doctor for me and my hippie heart, I'm slowly healing and coming out of the hot mess and enjoy life again.
I did get personally invited to be a part of The Reset Girl's Planner Stylist Team. I was already buying and using her planner stickers and sharing planner pages using them in my planners so I knew it wasn't really adding any new responsibilities to my plate and plus, I love Cori to bits and love supporting her business... it was a given that being a part of this team was a HECK YES for me.

So, that being said, I am giving myself a lot of grace with coming back and reviving the blog. While, I've got things down on my editorial calendar, I will no longer beat myself up if I miss a day. The plan is to only blog on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. I will really think through affiliates and brands that I want to work with before saying "YES" and learn how to say "NO, not now" without feeling guilty.
Love you guys, and so excited to be back with a plan and a whole lot of grace!!!
