I admit it, I'm spoiling my child this year for her birthday. I'm not a huge birthday celebration kind of person and we usually make it a family event. I decided to step out of my comfort zone this year and throw her a girly birthday party.
First, I couldn't decide between throwing a manicure party, or a Frozen® themed party. I then put the ball in her court and made her decide.
I will admit, I'm kind of relieved she picked the Frozen® theme, because I could easily find wintry Christmas decorations to help me out.
I immediately went to the Silhouette Design Store and did a search on "snowflakes" and was overwhelmed with the options. I used a fun gift tag to create her invitations. I just bought generic black and white invitations, sprayed them with purple and turquoise mists. Then I used the double-sided adhesive sheets to stick on vellum and had tons of turquoise glitter to add over it. I totally LOVE how they turned out.
After the Thanksgiving festivities ended, I started getting to work on the rest of the supplies. I made 12 of these super cute snow crown cupcake holders. It might be my favorite detail yet. The rest of this week will be putting together the background and baking and gathering supplies. We take the month of December off of homeschooling to focus on Christmas/Advent and I'm looking forward to having the free time to finish up all the details.
