You have no idea how excited I am to be moving forward and planning another year here on the blog. I've got big plans coming up and I need to get myself organized. This past year I've been using the Blogger Planner by Mama Miss Designs and I seriously don't know how I could have kept the blog going and growing without it.
I know, I could have totally designed my own. I figured though, if I found the perfect planner and editorial calendar, why not support her work and continue to buy it each year. She deserves the credit for keeping me organized and meeting my goals and dreams for this blog.
So, with that being said, I did really want all my planners in one nice compact binder. I bought myself an a5 sized FiloFax and just printed the planner pages 2:1. It's smaller print and I may have to take my glasses off to read a few of the pages, but I love the compact size of it all.
I tried the electronic calendar, it just didn't work for me. I do all my social media marketing and community on mobile, but for some reason I need a paper calendar. I guess it's kind of a hybrid planner, just like my love for hybrid scrapbooking.
I still add the important dates that hubby needs to know to our Cozi calendar so that we're on the same page, but I guess I just love doodling and playing with pen and paper too much to totally convert. Paper and pen make me super happy!!!
I love the goals page, and especially LOVE the daily blog/social media maintenance page. I also really like the project planning pages and Pinterest maintenance pages. I have a feeling they'll be put to good use this year as I try to clean things up on Pinterest and even some of the blog posts in the archives. I want to update them as much as possible so you can find your way around easily.
The daily blog maintenance page I printed a little bigger and also added clear contact paper over the top so that I could use a dry erase marker to mark off all my daily tasks. I love all the tasks she has added this year. I also really love the seasonal theme ideas pages. This will totally help me with brainstorming project and design ideas.
I also left everything else that came with the FiloFax in the back, and plan on using it for notes and doodles and a regular family planner too. I need something to keep my hands busy while waiting in waiting rooms or at practices and rehearsals, right?
