December Daily - Day 1

So, this was when I was without internet and ended up doing lots of Christmas decorating... as much as I loved playing with paper the last few days... I just can't stay away from all the yummy digital goodies...

The top left is a blank card with the number "1" on it... I covered it with washi tape and totally LOVE how it turned out... The top right is a photo of this gorgeous watercolor at my parents' church depicting Tamar... I was bummed I wasn't going to get to see the rest of the watercolors for the rest of the Advent series... WOW!!! The bottom is a digital woodgrain paper that I printed out in 4x6... This is exactly why I created the templates that I gave away in this post... to be able to print out papers in the exact sizes of the pockets instead of printing a whole sheet of it and having leftovers :)... I used a Crafter's Workshop stencil and Distress paint on the background to messy it up... added a doily and some Christy Tomlinson rubons... stitched on the photo added more washi tape and used a pop dot to add the circle element... again, that's a digital element I printed and punched out... then I splattered on some Heidi Swapp mist... the only thing with the distress paint and the mist is that the printing bleeds from the moisture, so I try not to do this too often and prefer to messy up my hybrid cards with digital paint... I'm really loving how this turned out though!!!
