Mixed Media Creative Planning | August 2015 - Week 2

Oh goodness, I just loved filling these pages up with goodies and memories. I pulled out my stamp sets and stickers and the Illustrated Faith Whatever Is Lovely Collection that's coming out soon. I have a feeling I'm going to need to stock up on this collection, I just LOVE it so much!!! I have fallen in love with stamping again...

Mixed Media Creative Planning | August 2015 - Full Month

I'm having a blast being creative in my planner. I'm loving this system of stamping stickers and collecting stickers to use from my favorite sticker girl, Cori of The Reset Girl. I'm also attending the Daydream Event this month and got a goody envelope of some stickers and was so excited to use them this month to mark the dates for the event.

#ARTWORSHIP - Illustrated Faith Art Journaling Bible: John 3b-12

I'm so excited to be back here with more to share in my Art Journaling Bible while studying the Gospel of John with She Reads Truth. I also wanted to share some pointers with you and answer a few questions I've received from last week about some of the supplies I use.

JOHN 3

Last week I shared with you the first half of what I did for John 3 and really focused on Nicodemus. This week I'm turning the page and sharing my favorite quote from the week and our memory verse for the week. I'm really trying to take this verse to heart this week.

Art Journal Pocket Scrapbook Style: Dude, That's Crabby! AND a Sweepstakes for Sweet Stamp Shop stamp sets!

Do you ever have just really crabby weeks or days? I have a fun little journal card to share with you!

I am finishing up my guest design time at Sweet Stamp Shop and I must say, I'm rather sad. It went by so fast and I learned so much and made some lifetime friends who encouraged and inspired each other. I've grown so much in my photography for the blog and also fell back in LOVE with stamping and card making.

Sweet Stamp Shop - August Release

I'm excited to share with you two cards for today's new releases at Sweet Stamp Shop. The themes for these stamp sets are so perfect for the end of summer and our days on the beach. I know I'm gonna be using them for my pocket scrapbook pages too. I had a ton of fun creating these cards! Be sure to check out the blog for more inspiration from the team!

BEACH BUM STAMP SET

This first one, I was looking for something beachy for the Beach Bum set. I saw this bendy card cut file in the Silhouette Online store and knew instantly what I was gonna do. Isn't it such a fun shape for this set?

I used distress inks and my water brush on kraft card stock for the front two pieces. For the background, I had this gorgeous scalloped paper from Studio Calico and was able to cut out just the blue part. I used a blueish white spray ink and my water brush to mimic the scallops and make them look more like waves.

I then used some of the distess ink to stamp the sand and stamped the chairs on the other colors of the scalloped paper and cut them out. "Let's Hang" is from the Koala stamp set. I think that's one of my most fave sentiments. Too perfect for this beachy scene. Now to figure out who to send this fun card to.
