I was so excited about these new favorite pens from Uni-Ball! I decided to test them out. I wanted to see if they would bleed or not and which pens were best for underlining and doodling and journaling in my Bible.
First, I tested wrote on cardstock. I wanted to see which ones I like the best for smoothness and thickness of the line.
Then I found a nice blank page in my Bible to test bleeding.
My conclusion was that I still think the Micron 03 is my favorite, with the Uni-Ball 207 Medium or Micro as a close second. The Micron was so nice and smooth and the Uni-Ball made an indentation. The Micron however was a darker ink so you could see it more clearly on the other side, but the Uni-Ball wasn't as dark.
However. The Micron doesn't write as well on paint or gel medium. For writing over paint or gel medium, I much prefer the Uni-Ball 207 Bold. If I have a layer of paint, it won't bleed like it does through just the plain paper.
I hope that's helped you to see a bit better some of the pros and cons of each pen and why I have so many different ones in my purse/pouch.
