March 2014 - Week 10

oh... I had so much fun putting this one together. It's been a busy week here with a doctor appointment for me and homeschooling and just hanging out with the family. I'm so very thankful I get to stay home with them and Mark works from home so we get to be together so much. I'm spoiled in the sense that I get to have my whole family in the house with me all week. I love that we do almost everything together. I'm so very blessed!

OK, after that little tangent, I'll share my page with you. I actually finished this all in one day and in just a few hours between homeschooling and play time. I actually brought it with me to the doctor's office so I could complete the journaling and doodling. I can't tell you how great it is to get into a routine and groove. It really has shaved off several hours for completing a week. It also helps that I changed my "rules" and no longer do 2 pages per week and just do as many as needed for that week. Last week was three pages, this week was one. I'm cool with that and it doesn't bother me if the facing pages don't match. I think that's the fun of the mixed media/eclectic style. I just use what inspires me. This week I was inspired by two collaborations. One was a collaboration by Rubia (Studio Basic) and Kaye Winiecki that was "art" themed, YUMMY! The other was a collaboration by Just Jaimee and Mommyish that was "messy house" themed and so very perfect for our week of purging and then Mark and I being sick. I mostly just added digital paints and stamps to patterned paper or journal cards and then printed and cut the elements with the Silhouette. I love the added doodles, I swear it's my favorite thing to do. There weren't many photos this week, but plenty of stuff to journal about. I think this might be my new fave... I know, I say that every week.
