Scrappin' Saturday 7/7/12

This has been such a HOT week that we've spent lots of time indoors in the A/C. That means, I got caught up on Project Life and played with lots of new goodies this week. (click images for credits)

First up my favorite layout of the week... I tried something totally new to me. I've been eyeing Art Journaling for awhile now and was always too chicken to try it out. This week Nicole of Sugarplum Paperie came out with a set of paints and painted goodies specifically for this type of scrapping. Darcy also came out with some great simple and basic templates as starting points and challenged us to make them our own... I thought, this will be perfect and I used the template for "painting my canvas" and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how it turned out and am begging Nicole to come out with more Art Journaling goodies.

On Monday Dani (Design by Dani) had this awesome new release, perfect for 4th of July pictures, or just everyday pictures, like I used it for. :)

and I can finally share this layout I did with her feature kit, at The Daily Digi this month. :)

Along the lines of Art Journaling and mixed media, I've fallen in love with Michelle Godin and she has become a resident designer at The Lilypad this week and I had some fun playing with her Debut Grab Bag this week.

Ju has these adorable cluster tags this week and Cheryl has these awesome pennant templates that were so fun to play with.

Valeria, Little Butterfly Wings has this awesome "moody" kit, perfect for scrap therapy.

and one of my favorite time of months... The first Friday of the month is BYOC (build your own collab) day at The Lilypad and there is all sorts of yummy goodies and I wish I had the time to play with all of them LOL... I say this every month, but this month is my favorite BYOC... I love the colors and the goodies are FABULOUS!!! I've done 4 layouts with it and plan on doing more with the goodies I didn't get a chance to play with yet. :)
